Why Did My Points Expire?

Unfortunately, S'more points are considered abandoned and expire after 30 consecutive days of inactivity from an account. We took a look at your activity and do not show a record of app usage for 30+ consecutive days. In the app, different activities award different points, for example you get 10 daily points awarded each day you use your lock screen by seeing the minimum required amount of ads on your phone's lock screen.  Unfortunately, we are unable to provide the number of ads needed to be seen on your lock screen each day, due to security reasons.

Please keep in mind, your points will show up as PENDING on your Feed if you've seen 1 ad or 100 ads but Pending doesn't mean your daily points will be posted on your Feed the following day.  If and only if, you've met the minimum required amount of ads seen on your lock screen, your points will appear on Feed the following day.  If you haven't met the requirement of ads, those daily points will not appear on your Feed the following day.  Receiving your daily points is was considers you active in our system.

We apologize but once your points expired in our system, unfortunately, we are unable to restore the expired points.  There are two ways your points could expire.  Both ways could be found in the Terms and Conditions and the FAQs.:

  1. Inactivity on the S'more app for 30 or more days
  2. Not redeeming a gift card within one year

In your case, you've experience number 1.  On your S'more app, the lock screen could have not been turned on or the notifications could have accidentally been turned off.  Once the lock screen is turned on, you should start seeing ads display on the lock screen of your phone and will start receiving your 10 daily points. If you've met the minimum required amount of ads on your lock screen please let us know how many ads you've seen along with each screenshot and we'll continue to look into this for you.

To turn on/off your lock screen, please check your settings on your phone for lock screen permissions then turn on the lock screen.  When opening/unlocking your phone allow some time (a few seconds) to see any ads on your lock screen. Opening/unlocking your phone too quickly may result in not receiving your daily points.

In our system on your account, it shows you've been inactive on the S'more app for the days you didn't receive your daily points.  You may have opened the app multiple times but our system indicates you haven't seen the minimum required amount of ads on your lock screen.  Keep in mind that you can still play games, complete offers, watch videos, etc, but this WILL NOT consider you "active" in our system.  Being active in our system is by seeing the required amount of ads on your phone's lock screen and receiving your 10 daily points.  If you haven't been receiving your 10 daily points, it's due to not seeing enough ads on your phone's lock screen.  So, if you follow the steps of what I do every morning, you shouldn't have any issues.

Every morning on my phone, I click on my phone's lock screen button (on the side of the phone) and wait a few seconds for an ad to appear.  If I see the S'more's "Refer a Friend" ad, I just lock the screen and then click on the lock screen button again to see another ad.  I do this a multiple times a day just to be on the safe side.  Once I've seen enough ads throughout the day, I know I'm good to go and should receive my daily points on the following day.

Thank you for using the S'more app!
